When you complete the program, you will be offered ongoing (permanent) employment at the Clerk Grade 3/4 (2nd year) level. Exceptional performers may be fast-tracked to the Clerk Grade 5/6 or 7/8 level.*
*Graduates receive a competitive remuneration package of approximately $82,529. This includes a salary of $74,117, employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
The engineering stream will provide you with invaluable experience in analysing and addressing problems and coming up with practical ways to change things so they perform better. You will gain exposure and contribute to critical high-profile initiatives that impact the citizens of NSW. You could be working on a wide range of different projects, from health, and infrastructure, to transport.
In the engineering stream, you’ll receive tailored development from Engineers Australia which will focus on your personal development, project management, and professional skills.
The engineering stream has approximately 28 roles on offer in the Greater Sydney Metropolitan, Central West, Hunter, North Coast, South Coast and South-West regions.
Disciplines we are looking for relating to biomedical engineering, civil engineering, construction management, building construction, and project management.
I am able to experience a range of different work in my role. I have been part of preparing for inspections from the Ombudsman and participating in both compliance work and a big project the team is working on. Compliance work generally relates to any questions or issues that come up and compare those questions to the legislation, and make an assessment on whether that it is compliant or breaches the legislation.
Each day varies but i am very involved with the team
Being a grad we often aren't stepping into someone else's role, so there isn't much BAU as I thought there would be. But volunteering for work and proactively seeking more things to do has helped keep me busy.

The speed of effective change/action towards the problems we are all trying to solve.
For the role I'm in, not much avenue to continue developing my career within the unit I am in.
